After a successful 10 months at Enabl, George has been welcomed onto the RTPI North West Young Planners Committee for 2024. The Committee are responsible for organising social and CPD events for early career planners across the north west region, as well as raise the profile of the planning profession within schools and universities. We are excited to see how George and the rest of the committee engage with young planners in the coming year.
November saw Ben join the office as the newest member of team Enabl, taking up the role of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor alongside studying towards his MSc in Quantity Surveying at the University of Salford. Ben brings to the team a diverse background in construction and passion for the industry in order to achieve successful outcomes on projects he is engaged with. Being from St. Helens, Ben has always had a keen interest in playing and following Rugby League as well as other sports, including being an avid Manchester United fan. We are excited to see Ben getting involved in some key projects and contributing to the ongoing success of Enabl.
Following a successful year of new projects, sustained growth and betterment of targets the Enabl team headed to the Barcelona to celebrate a productive year whilst starting to think about the opportunities ahead in the new year. There was also the opportunity to enjoy the unrivalled architecture and cuisine of this renowned European city!
As part of our brand repositioning we embarked on a carefully navigated rethink led by the excellent team at Made By Shape. The modernisation has allowed us to better position ourselves in the market and help to capture our approach that is to do things different - and better.
We now proud announce, after a period of hard work, the rebrand is now live! We hope you love it as much as we do!
It's almost time for our annual summer party where we will host what is becoming a staple-piece in the industry calendar.
A huge collaboration of clients and co-consultants meeting in a laid back environment enjoying independently sourced food and drinks late into the evening.
We can't wait for this one with over 80 confirmed attendees and counting...
We've completed the interior design work with Axi Studio for the communal areas within our office. Having redeveloped the characterful listed building and moved in last year, we have been looking forward to moving forward with the CAT B fit out of the breakout spaces, board room - and coffee/beer bar.
And how else would we manage it other than using our in-house Project Management capability to procure all the materials and use our trusted subcontract labour to install it
Promotions! We're delighted to announce two promotions within team Enabl following a better than target first quarter of 2023.
Becky Smith has been promoted from Graduate Quantity Surveyor to Quantity Surveyor following two hugely successful years with Enabl. In this time Becky has taken on more responsibility and is actively working towards growing her professional network.
Kat McMaster has been promoted from Planner to Senior Planner following a successful first year with the company. Kat is taking on more responsibility and is providing senior support to the team leader by helping to train new starters and integrate them into doing things the Enabl way.
Each year we choose a hiking spot and invite our network of clients and co consultants to embark on a ramble across the Peak District.
The ramble is a chance to engage in meaningful conversations, exchange industry insights, and gain valuable knowledge from each other & experiences while enjoying the scenic beauty of the surrounding landscape. Against a backdrop of rolling hills, we embarked on a journey that transcended the typical corporate setting. We find that the experience fosters an unparalleled sense of unity, reinforcing the notion that collaboration and mutual support can thrive beyond the confines of a boardroom.
The event finished with a delightful gathering at a nearby traditional pub with good food and drink served before heading back into Manchester in the early evening.
