A unique opportunity to help shape an emerging typology of residential accommodation, in form of co-living, to an innovative area of Salford. 

Given the demographic of MediaCityUK and Salford Quays being mostly students, graduates and young professionals, Enabl, in partnership CERT Property, brought forward a scheme which encourages a blend of personal and shared amenity space, in order for individuals to foster new personal and working relationships in a contemporary environment.

  • Provision of strategic advice, including management of the planning application
  • Navigating a new sector diligently with the Local Planning Authority
  • Project management of the co-consultant team to acquire the necessary reports to support the application
  • Research into the emerging sector and providing succinct advice to key stakeholders

We find
the hidden solutions.

Through design collaboration with the local planning authority, public consultation and OMI Architects, the design of the scheme has been well received by all accounts and is considered to respond well to what is an aspirational site location by promoting a high quality design. It is a seamless combination of contemporary architecture and historical warehouse typology dating back to the 19th century Manchester Docks.

living for all.

The scheme is located in the first quadrant within a series of canal branches which extend into Salford Quays, which gives it a unique location bounded by the Manchester Ship Canal to the south.

The surrounding area has benefitted from significant regeneration in recent times, with new and improved infrastructure making the area more accessible with more people choosing to settle in the area.

The area has become a hub for the digital economy with the continued development of MediaCityUK.

The site in an exciting and unique location to provide much needed residential accommodation which responds to the surrounding area in terms of its target demographic and heritage.
